“Lego” is Danish for “play well.”

Look at these Bears building in the Bear Room! Tyler is having fun with Danielle and helping Spencer build a super-high-to-the-sky, multi-colored tower out of Legos. Who doesn’t love Legos? Those colorful and easy-to-use blocks still have the same bumps and holes, and can interlock with pieces made 50 years ago. Legos set the stage for a huge range of creative play opportunities, all of which improve fine-motor skills. The variety of colors and sizes give the kids a chance to practice patterns and sorting skills too. Pretty multi-faceted little plastic bricks, huh?
