Precision Cutting

Posted on by EC3 Staff

Later in life—certainly in kindergarten—kids will master projects that require precision cutting and writing if their fine motor skills get a good workout early on. Success in these areas depends on strong fine motor skills, so we practice them here at EC3. This week, JJ and the other Frogs traced their cute little hands with Miss Lucki, and then cut them out with scissors. This fun activity helped our little Frogs develop the important muscles in their fingers and hands, as well as improve coordination between their dominant hand—holding the pencil or scissors—and their non-dominant hand—steadying the paper being written on or cut.
