Cookin in the Kitchen!

Posted on by EC3 Staff

Mya and Alex took a break from kitchen play to ham it up for the camera this week. The Tiger room was really active in imaginative play, and these two were busy cooking pretend sandwiches in the mini kitchen. Some of the other Tigers even “ate” their pretend food creations afterwards. Did you know that kitchen play develops children’s cognitive skills? The combination of imagination and social skill development helps them think logically (what steps do they need to take to make a pretend sandwich) and socially (they had to share the space and pretend ingredients). They worked together to be great hosts too—what a team!
